Bio
Dr. Sirilak Disatian Surachetpong obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with First Class Honors from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand in 2002. She continued her academic journey by earning both a Master’s degree and a Doctorate in Clinical Sciences from Colorado State University, USA in 2005 and 2008, respectively. Following her doctoral studies, she further honed her expertise through a postdoctoral fellowship at Colorado State University from 2008-2009. Dr. Surachetpong is renowned for her expertise and has achieved recognition as a diplomate of the Thai Board of Veterinary Medicine. Additionally, she has been invited to serve as a specialist by the Asian College of Veterinary Internal Medicine for Companion Animals.
Dr. Surachetpong is currently a faculty member in the Department of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Veterinary Science, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. She teaches cardiology and medicine. She is also a deputy director of academic affairs of Chulalongkorn Small Animal Veterinary Teaching Hospital and a head of the Department of Veterinary Medicine. She serves as the president of the Veterinary Cardiovascular Society of Thailand. She has published several papers in peer-reviewed journals. Her research interest is the cardiopulmonary diseases in dogs and cats.

Dr. Yasuyuki Nii, DVM, PhD, is the Chief of Cardiology and a veterinary anesthesiologist specializing in cardiac surgeries. He currently serves at the JASMINE Veterinary Cardiovascular Medical Center. His expertise includes veterinary cardiology and perioperative anesthesia management for cardiac surgeries. In his lecture, he will highlight the latest developments in canine mitral valve repair, covering surgical indications, perioperative management, complications, and insights from recent research.
