Short biography Dr. Yun-Hsia Hsiao is a board-certified veterinary dermatologist (DipAiCVD) and the current president of the Asian College of Veterinary Dermatology (AiCVD). She practices in Japan and has a special interest in chronic otitis, autoimmune skin diseases, and allergic disorders. She is actively involved in international dermatology education and clinical research.

Dr. Ambily V. R is an accomplished veterinary dermatologist with over 16 y
ears of experience in clinical practice, teaching, and research. She serves as
Assistant Professor at the College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Kerala
Veterinary and Animal Sciences University where she established a dedicated
Small Animal Dermatology Unit and currently leads Postgraduate Diploma in Small Animal Dermatology.
This initiative not only expanded the scope of clinical services but also provided a platform for postgraduate students to delve into the intricacies of dermatologica
l research under her mentorship. Her research focuses on canine atopic derma
titis, with special emphasis on filaggrin gene polymorphism, and skin barrier
dysfunct ion. Her doctoral work earned her the Dr. C.K.S.V. Raja Gold Medal
in 2023 and the Best Doctoral Thesis Award at national level in 2025. Dr.
Ambily has authored over 5 0 scientific publications and presented more than
31 conferences. She has received multiple accolades including the Prof. S. K.
Ray Award for best research paper in small animal dermatology and the Yo
ung Scientist Award for her early research on canine filariasis.
She is privileged to represent India as one of the invited SOS (Supporting origina
l studies) speakers in the 10 th World Congress of Veterinary Dermatology (WCV
D 10) held at Boston, USA during July 2024. She contributes to veterinary outreach through webinars and dermatology programs on All India Rad io. Throug
h her expertise, Dr Ambily continues to shape the future of Veterinary derma
tology education and practice.
